Mitsuke — Spot the odd one

An odd-one-out game with patterns drawn in code — lines, dots and shapes laid out in a grid, where exactly one is a little different. The difference is always one of four kinds: rotation, size, position or the number of lines (dots). Every pattern is the same colour, so it never depends on how you see colour. Each find makes the grid finer, from 3×3 up to 7×7, and the difference smaller. A wrong tap costs 3 seconds. Your best count in 60 seconds is saved.

How to play

  1. Tap the one pattern that is different from the rest. The first grid is 3×3 with a big difference
  2. The difference is one of: turned, size, position (off-centre) or the number of lines or dots. Every pattern is the same colour
  3. Each find makes the grid finer and the difference smaller. A wrong tap takes 3 seconds off the clock
  4. If you haven't found it after 7 seconds, a hint at the bottom tells you what kind of difference to look for (not where). The 60-second clock starts on your first tap
